SUMMARY
I am a young, flexible and hard-working graduate with experience in campaigning around politics, looking for related work in the London area. I have been involved with student politics both on my campus and nationally during my three years at university, and in “real world politics” since leaving.
In the past, I have also taken roles in advising and supporting others, and dealing with customers. I am, however, interested in new challenges and experiences, and I consider myself to be a fast learner. I am authorised to work in the UK and have a clean Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
Outside of work, I am interested in photography, design and programming. I am learning the art of bellringing, and also enjoy reading, knitting, playing board games and exploring new and old places, particularly taking part in hiking, camping and high ropes courses.
SKILLS

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Grassroots Campaigner , Open Rights Group
December 2009 – March 2010
My role at the Open Rights Group involves assisting the permanent copyright campaigner by promoting grassroots actions. This has involved contacting ORG supporters to encourage and help them to speak to their MPs, finding and publishing MP responses to ORG’s current campaign and organising and promoting events, as well as maintaining and building the ORG wiki and creating links with other digital rights groups.
Volunteer Contributor, Dreamwidth Studios
March 2009 – Present
As a founding member of Dreamwidth, I have been involved from the beginning, initially contributing graphical elements to the site and currently providing front line response and support to users through the help boards, which involves understanding technical problems and presenting simple solutions in a friendly, easy to understand and timely manner.
Committee Rep, National Union of Students
July 2008 – July 2010
I am an elected member of NUS Women’s Committee, representing female students around the UK. This is a voluntary role which has involved attending meetings to debate and vote on interim policy, chairing debate at the annual NUS Women’s Conference and supporting Women’s Officers in my regions running events, campaigns and carrying out day-to-day work on campuses.
Women’s Officer , University of Derby Students’ Union
July 2008 – July 2009
In addition to my duties on NUS Women’s Committee, I was elected by my Students’ Union to set up a campaign group of activists and represent the female students of the University of Derby at Union Council meetings and around the campus.
